Hmm, outlaws, reels, and a sense of a Western town behind those reels… it all seems to add up to a superb Wild West slot game, doesn’t it?
Reel Outlaws has been around these parts for several years, but don’t let that put you off checking it out. We’ve made it easier for you to do that thanks to the slot review that follows too.
Developer details
The game comes from an outfit called Betsoft, and we bet you’ve heard of that team before.
Spin the demo reels before you begin for real
This is the only way to work out if you like what you see in the game. There’s no risk to your cash by playing this version.
Is this a promising depiction of the theme?
The Wild West has been done many times before in slot games. We’ve got another version of it here, of course, but we can expect all the usual suspects in terms of the design.
More about that design
There is plenty of wood involved here, with the game title stamped on the wood above the reels. There are buildings to either side of the reels and all the typical Wild Western icons on them too.
How to begin playing the Reel Outlaws slot
We have another five4-reel game to play, using the 5 x 3 format you might have expected to see. There is a wild, designed with WILD in the middle of a host of stars.
The scatter is similarly labeled but shows sticks of dynamite instead. There is also a bonus symbol showing the game logo.
Can you guess the payline quantity?
We bet you can’t because they’ve only given you nine lines to bet on here.
Expect two cents as the lowest bet
That’s per line, so you can expect to find an 18-cent minimum in action here to get all those lines in action. The game also has other more expensive coins to work with.
Catch up with the prize potential in the paytable
A quick jump from the game screen takes you there, so you can work out whether you’ve got some great prizes to be won with two or more symbols landing on paid lines.
The bonus game in Reel Outlaws
The triggering symbols bring a prize first, and you need three at least on the same paid line to unlock the bonus round. This is a pick feature, and you’ll see lots of whisky bottles on a second screen. Each one has a prize attached to it, but of course, you cannot see the prize. You also cannot see the bottle that reveals a collect message.
The idea is to pick a bottle and see what it reveals. If it shows you a prize, you carry on until you land on the collect message.
Free spins don’t feature here
No, the scatter doesn’t trigger any free games, only a scatter prize.
RTP facts to note
Expect the return to player level to reach 95.2% with this one. Lower than we like to note for a slot game but higher than a few other older games from this developer.
Our rating while playing Reel Outlaws
Reel Outlaws isn’t bad at all for an older slot game. It still has some appeal if you’re happy with the RTP level. We think it is a 7/10 game after playing it for a while.
Find five wilds for a truly wild prize
You can net up to 2,000x your bet for finding five of those on the same line you just bet money on.
Introducing the game via the practice version
While you can launch into the real thing, why not try the demo first? You’ll understand how it all works if you do.
Explore the real thing as well
The real game is entertaining enough, and with low coin values at the bottom end of the scale, you might want to try it for a while if the demo was appealing enough.
Mobile access – something else to look for?
This one has been around for a while, so you may find it harder to spot in mobile casinos. No harm in looking though, right?
