Frog Hunter Slots
If we had to think of a slot game with a quirky and fascinating title, surely Frog Hunter would be right up there with some other superb titles. Frog Hunter sounds dramatic enough, but we have yet to see whether the game is good enough to play.

Relax – we’ve tried it and returned to you here to see what you make of it. Are you ready to hop to it and learn more in our full review?

Which developer loves frogs?

We don’t know whether they love them, but they certainly like them enough to base a slot game around them. It’s a Betsoft slot, so that’s superb news too.

Try some demo spins first

If ever you find a demo version of a Betsoft game – and the chances are excellent that you will – you should try that to see what you make of it. You can learn a lot when you tinker around with a practice slot.

A theme made from frogs and fruit

Now, there’s a mix of themes we never thought we’d see! Cartoon frogs appear on the reels, along with plenty of fruity icons including lemons, huge slices of melon, and some cherries.

Does the design demand your attention?

The black backdrop certainly has this effect, as everything else pops right out at you. There are a few leaves and vines around too, but other than that, it’s all quite straightforward.

How to play the Frog Hunter slot game

It offers five reels, three rows of symbols, and no progressive jackpot. There is no wild here, but you can expect a few unusual elements rolled into the game as you go.

A surprising quantity of paylines

Would you believe there are only five in this game? It’s true.

Begin at the two-cent bet stage

With just five lines to cover, this means you’ve got a 10-cent wager covering all the lines. You can also go for other coins up to $5 per line if you prefer.

Don’t miss the paytable as it explains those key features

While Frog Hunter doesn’t have many paylines, it doesn’t skimp on the special parts the creative team have added to the game. Find out more about these in the paytable – or simply by continuing to read our review.

Dragonflies and water lilies…

The Dragonfly Bonus involves one of two triggers. If you find a male frog with a dragonfly to his right, you’ll receive 3x your total bet. If you land the female frog and a dragonfly appears to her left, you’ll receive 2x your total bet (rather than just the line bet).

As for the water lilies, you need three appearing on adjacent reels to trigger the Water Lily bonus round. The frog then needs to get from one side of the pond to the other. Choose a lily pad in each row to help him advance. Be careful on the third row though – there’s a crocodile underneath one of the pads, so you need to try and avoid it if you can.

Free spins don’t feature here

There are lots of elements appearing in Frog Hunter, but free spins aren’t among them.

RTP details are sketchy here

We didn’t find any confirmation of a specific return to player value. We’ve seen a value of around 94% mentioned in a few places, but this isn’t confirmed.

Our rating for the Frog Hunter online slot game

It’s an unusual slot, hampered by having just five lines, but other than that, the two bonus features certainly make it worthwhile. A possible low RTP, along with no wild or scatter symbols, gives this a score of 7/10 from us.

Watch the paytable for potential prizes

With no progressives to go for here, you’ve got access only to the amounts in the paytable. Remember to choose your bet for each spin wisely.

Attempt the demo first

Frog Hunter does have a few twists on the usual five-reel slot game fare. However, we’d recommend the practice version to anyone who hasn’t played the real thing yet.

Where can you play Frog Hunter for real?

Find a Betsoft casino offering a range of their games and see if Frog Hunter is among them. If it is, you should find the demo and real versions available to view and play.

Mobile too?

Yes, you could find it in mobile-friendly casinos if you find one of those to visit on your Android or iOS device.
