We all have a good side… and we have a dark one too in some sense. That’s the idea behind the slot game called Good Girl Bad Girl, and it contains some fascinating features that set it apart from all other slots. That’s quite a claim, but you’ll soon see that our review guides you through the features to help you understand how to play.
Which developer created the game?
This is another superb 3D entry to the collection by Betsoft.
You should try the practice game first
There are lots of reasons why we suggest this, not least because we think the game has some varied features involved to get the hang of first.
A good and bad theme!
In every way, as you’ll see an angel floating on the left of the reels and a devil floating on the right. Expect other symbols to sit on either side of that divide as well.
A light and dark design fits the theme perfectly
This is an easy game to love, thanks to its design. The lighter side is where the angel is at, of course, with things getting darker over to the right where the devil watches you. 3D design elements also help make this one stand out.
What should you expect when you play Good Girl Bad Girl?
The usual 5 x 3 format appears once again here. You’ll also see a Good Girl jackpot and a Bad Girl jackpot above the reels. You also have two wilds, shown as a halo and a pitchfork – ideal choices, we believe! Whenever they appear, they’ll change into wild banners.
The pitchfork could land on reels three, four, or five, changing into a wild that offers a multiplier of between 1x and 4x. If you find a halo, this will happen on reels one, two, or three, with a multiplier of 1x or 2x.
How many paylines in play?
There are 15 lines in this game. However, as you’ll see in a second when we explain the betting options, you have some variations here.
In Good Mode, you get low-risk, low volatility gameplay and the lines pay in the usual way from left to right. Switch to Bad Mode and you get high-risk gameplay with high volatility… and the lines pay from right to left.
If you choose to play both, you’ll play a minimum of two coins per line but you’ll have lines paying in both directions.
Consider your bets before you play
This is where some demo play comes in useful. If you bet all the lines, you’ll bet 15 cents at the cheapest end of the wagering scale. This assumes one coin per line, as you can play up to five coins per line. One dollar is the most you can spend on a coin.
However, you can choose to play in either Good Girl or Bad Girl mode… or to play both. Look for the arrow above reel three to see these settings. If you play both, you’ll spend 30 cents per play instead of 15 when choosing one or the other.
Don’t miss your chance to review the paytable
It is important to do so before you try the demo, so you can fully understand how the game works. We haven’t seen anything else quite like this, so you need to be sure you understand everything.
Looking for bonus opportunities?
See if you can find the pitchfork next to the halo on the reels. If this occurs, you can play the Click Me Bonus. If you’re only playing the Good game, you get the Good bonus. And yes, the Bad game means you get the Bad bonus. If you have decided to play both modes together, you can choose which one to play.
In each case, you get four gifts, and you must choose one to search for a prize. Try and avoid the COLLECT message for as long as you can. Some boxes glow and some do not, and this can give you a hint of the contents. Read the paytable to see how this differs between the Good and Bad rounds.
You also have a Money Wheel Bonus, triggered with a Money Wheel landing on the first, third, and fifth reels. This is where the jackpots are, although you need to bet the maximum amount on the triggering spin to have a chance of netting one. As we saw in the above feature, there are Good and Bad modes here too.
Free spins may come from the Money Wheel
Spinning this could lead to a jackpot or other credit prize, yet you might also score a few free spins.
Expect a high RTP value
This reaches 97.8% for this game, which is one of the highest we’ve seen in a while.
Our rating for Good Girl Bad Girl slots
This is hugely successful, and we can see why. With two modes to choose from, and a chance to play both, you’re in control of volatility and your approach. Expect nothing less than 10/10 from us in this game.
Can you net a progressive?
Let’s be fair here – the answer is likely to be no. But it’s superb to see two of them in play, with one for each mode.
Play for entertainment to see how things work
Since this is unlike anything else you might have seen from Betsoft, we do suggest you explore how the game works before trying some real paid spins.
Which mode would you play for real?
We played both when we reached that stage, and at a minimum of 30 cents a spin in this mode, it’s a sensible choice.
